Due to the need to facilitate the dialogue among Asian and Asian American student leaders throughout the East Coast and to address all pertinent issues affecting Asians and Asian Americans, it is deemed necessary to establish a network to support and to encourage community building, networking, and education among Asian and Asian American students and their surrounding communities along the East Coast. There are 94 ECASU schools in the 10 ECASU regions:
1- Canada
2- Eastern New England (Greater Boston, Maine, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island)
3- Western New England (Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, and Vermont)
4- Upstate New York (New York state excluding the New York City metro region)
5- Metro New York (New York City, northern New Jersey, and Long Island)
6- Penn/Jersey/Delaware (Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey, and Delaware)
7- Mid-Atlantic Coast (District of Columbia, Maryland, Northern Virginia)
8- Virginias (Central and Southern Virginia and West Virginia)
9- Carolinas (North and South Carolina)
10- Southeast (Georgia, Florida)
Details on how ECASU works:
-For a small membership fee ($45), schools get discounted registration (around 20-30%) at ECASU conferences and a vote in all National decision-making including National Exec Board elections and conference bidding. (…) - Information for Student, Leaders, and Alumni
