Preoperative Surgical Measure

If you have decided to undergo a LASIK surgery, you should consult a good and experienced doctor and should do the eye testing that he/she suggests. It is always better to avoid using lotions, creams, and perfumes a day before the surgery is going to take place.

The primary objective of this advanced form of eye surgery is to improve the focusing power of the eyes. While doing this surgery, a small flap of the corneal tissue is slashed and a hinge is left at one side of this flap. This flap is then folded back and the middle part of the cornea gets revealed. Thereafter, the exposed corneal tissue is ablated for altering its shape and when the ablation gets completed, the flap is repositioned on the surface of the cornea.
